A-Round and A-Round We Go

May Concert & Competition Winners Showcase
Winners in the Vocal, Instrumental, and Piano divisions of our 2024 Competition for Young Musicians will perform their stellar Showcase Concert at 4:00PM at First Presbyterian Church. The women of the Denton Bach Choir will be on hand to sing pieces by composed or arranged by women. This last concert in our season of collaborations will be conducted by Tawny Rybowicz, music minister at Trinity Methodist Church and choir director at Harpool Middle School in Denton.

A Musical Meditation for Holy Week
The Denton Bach Society and the Chancel Choir of First Presbyterian Church join voices with Jacob Augsten on the podium as we return to our "first love," JS Bach for selections from the glorious St Matthew Passion and his Eastertide cantata. Traditional Spirituals round out the afternoon. Admission is free and donations are welcome!

Denton Bach joins the Lewisville Civic Chorale for a joyful Christmas concert called “Our Favorite Things,” under the direction of Dr. Josh Taylor. The first performance will be December 16 at First United Methodist Church of Denton and the second performance December 17 at the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Lewisville.

Haydn's Creation
Experience the harmonious fusion of music and spirituality in a captivating performance by FUMC Denton’s Chancel Choir and Orchestra in partnership with the Denton Bach Society. This work invites you to a profound musical odyssey mirroring the splendor of Genesis. Led by Dr Joshua Taylor, the event unites the talents of the choir, orchestra, and soloists to breathe life into Haydn’s composition. This concert is free and open to all, and we hope to see you there!
